Spiritual Gangster first hit the yogi scene over 10 years ago and we immediately fell in love. First releasing their signature Varsity Tank top for both men & women we just couldn't get enough of their name.
With a hint of yoga and a dash of edge, our top-selling sweatshirts and tanks just simply had their logo on it.
Now the brand has expanded into offering cozy sweatshirts, sweatpants, leggings, jumpers and pullovers. Plus all different fabrics and fits.
We've been a seller of Spiritual Gangster on our website evolvefitwear.com for over 10 years now and wanted to share some of the key pieces out this fall broken out into those popular categories.
Spiritual Gangster Sweatshirts
Fit:
The fit on the sweatshirts are true-to-size so pick out your usual size you wear. If you are planning on layering over t-shirts and other long sleeve tops, get one size up.
Fabric:
Spiritual Gangster has 2 main types of fabric for their sweatshirts. Its either a blend of : 55% Viscose, 25% Poly, 20% Nylon or 100% cotton.
Care:
Both are pre-shrunk. You can put the 100% cotton in the dryer under low heat but Ive noticed that when putting the blend fabric (viscose/ poly/ nylon) fabric in the dryer, over time it gets little "balls" on the fabric.
I would steer clear of the dryer for the blended fabric.
Top Sellers:
The Vida Sweatshirt has been an super cute new arrival and selling like hot-cakes! The sweatshirt comes in both black & heather grey. Its off the shoulder, sassy and classy. Plus its 100% cotton so it has that vintage worn in fabric that feels like you've had it for 15 years.
The Varsity Sweatshirt is consistently one of our top selling pullovers. Its simple with just the SG logo but always a classic.
Spiritual Gangster Shirts
Fit:
The Spiritual gangster shirts & tanks run true to size. If you are in-between sizes I would go a size up (although I wouldn't say they run small) - it is always nice to have a bit of room to move around - IMO ;)
Fabric:
Most of their tanks come in two different types of material. A 50% Cotton/ 50% Modal blend. These tanks have a longer length and softer hand. The always in stock "Script Muscle Tee" is a body of a tank that is in this fabric blend. It feels like a tumbled cotton fabric that is buttery soft.
The other common fabric used in Spiritual Gangster shirts is a blend of 50% Polyester, 37% Cotton, 13% Rayon. Our #1 selling tank the "Varsity Tank" is a good example of this. This is also very soft but doesn't have a cotton-like hand as the modal blend above. It feels more like a vintage shirt you had since the 80's.

Care:
The tanks & tees are preshrunk. Feel free to pop these in the wash under warm and tumble dry low.
Top Sellers:
The two tanks noted above - Varsity & Script tee are always in stock thus are our best-sellers. However new tanks come in weekly and there are so many cute prints and styles. Most all fall into those two bodies & fabrics mentioned above.
Spiritual Gangster Sweatpants
Fit:
We strongly believe that everyone needs a pair of Spiritual Gangster Sweats in their closet. They aren't your average sweatpant you wouldn't want to be caught dead in. They are comfortable without being too baggy in the butt/ crotch area. They are lower in the waistband and hit around the "hip-bone" for a 5'6" average height of a person.
Fabric:
Most of their sweats are made from 100% cotton. They do have a bit of stretch to them (without having spandex). The stretch comes from the way the fabric is woven.
Care:
The sweatpants are preshrunk. Feel free to put those puppies in the washer & dryer.
Top Sellers:
The two always in stock and best selling sweats from Spiritual Gangster are the Perfect Sweatpants - both shown above. The harem pants (62% poly/ 32% Viscose/ 5% Spandex) have a lightweight feel to them compared to a heavier weight classic sweat.

Spiritual Gangster Leggings & Bras:
The brand has been releasing fun leggings & bra sets for a few years and we really love them.
Fit:
The Spiritual Gangster leggings we find run about 1/2 size small. So if you are in between sizes- choose a size one size up. (For example: if you are between a small and medium - go with medium).
Fabric:
Most all of their leggings are made from a stretchy compression fabric that is unique to the brand. It has a hint of sheen to them (unless their are black leggings) and the fabric component is: 88% Polyamide, 12% Elastane
Care:
Like with most spandex/ lycra clothing you dont want to put it in the dryer. If you can, wash in cool water as well. The reason is, because you dont want to over heat the fabric because it will lose its elasticity (and thus will be less "stretchy" over time). We suggest washing in cool water, and hanging to dry.
Top Sellers:
Currently our top selling legging is the Eco Intent Jersey Legging. We are huge fans of marble leggings.
So when these were released this summer we have sold out of them a few times and keep getting more in. Hopefully its a staple legging that wont go away!

- Spiritual Gangster runs pretty true-to-size on their tank tops and sweatshirts and sweatpants. Their tighter fitting leggings run about 1/2 size small so if you are in between sizes we'd recommend sizing up.

- The word "gangster" means a member of a gang and "spiritual" means relating to or affecting the human spirit or soul. So putting that together it is a member of spiritual beings united as one group.
What happened to Spiritual Gangster Mens collection?
- We do get in their mens clothing from time to time but the brand has drastically reduced the amount of mens clothing they are offering. It does go quick though, so if you do see it avail grab it quick. Or you can always sign up for a "back in stock alert".
Where is Spiritual Gangster made?
- Most items are made in the USA except specific items that specialize in a unique form of stitching, manufacturing and a unique kind of fabric are done overseas. Each garment should say where that is made.

- The brand uses high quality fabrics and manufacturing procedures to insure their garments stand the test of time.
