The Free People Movement Story

Free People started off in the 1970's as a single store in West Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dick Hayne was the creator behind Free People, which quickly grew from one store to two and took on the name of Urban Outfitters. In 1984, new life was breathed into the Free People name, and it became its own line. Free People Movement was created as an activewear line for the free spirits who lead active lifestyles. With activewear fabrics and features, Free People Movement offers performance pieces that boast the boho-inspired style we all know and love.

Free People Clothing Sizing 

Most all items from Free People Movement fit true to size. FP Leggings generally run true to most other activewear brands. A 0-2 fits a size XS, 4-6 fits a size S. Sizes 6-8 fit a Medium, 10-12 fits a Large, and 12-14 fits XL. The FP Movement Bra tops and Crop Tanks also run in that typical size range. The Tank tops, T-Shirts and Onesie are all supposed to be an oversized look. Size down if you don't like the oversized look.
