Onzie is a brand specifically designed by a Bikram yogi and specifically made for Hot Yoga. Their "side tie" short is a Bikram favorite! The brands Teeki, Yoga Democracy and Colorado Threads both are similar fitting shorts that are both made from recycled water bottles. They have a popular short made with a 3” waistband without any elastic and a 2-3” inseam. You’ll most likely want your hot shorts to fit on the snug side, since you don't want them slipping up or down during your workout.
How do I care for hot yoga shorts?
As with all activewear you want to preserve the stretch and elasticity of your favorite hot yoga shorts. Since there is stretch within the fabric, you will want to preserve the stretch for as long as possible so it keeps that “stretchy” component. Heat breaks down the “stretchy” fibers so during the washing process you don't want any added heat in the process. You can machine wash on cool water and either hang dry or lay flat. Most activewear is made from a quick-drying material so you won't be waiting long for it to dry. Keeping heat away from your favorite bra will let it last many washes & wears for years to come.

High Waisted Yoga Shorts
High waist yoga shorts have a bit more in the rise and hit around mid-belly button. Most of our yoga shorts in 2023 are considered "high-rise" and will be around an 8" + rise. They are perfect to pair with a crop top bra or tank.
