The MICHI Story

MICHI was established in New York City in 2010. Founded by Michelle Watson from her NYC apartment, with a purpose to motivate and uplift women by enhancing performance and igniting self-expression.

Michelle set out to transform the activewear industry and solve the problem of unflattering and uncomfortable sportswear. Not only did she raise the activewear industry standards of design, but her iconic MICHI 3” Shaperband has become a best-selling design feature and an essential secret weapon, flattering waistlines globally.

MICHI pioneered the fashion-forward activewear aesthetic with artful and ventilating figure-flattering mesh inserts, crop top sports bras, sophisticated cut-outs, and in turn, set new standards in sportswear. These design elements, inspired by superheroines, nature, and iconic design moments, have become MICHI signatures.

MICHI Leggings

Many of the MICHI leggings incorporate mesh and linear accents to lengthen and elongate. Everything is made with the upmost quality, so you’ll never experience ripping or pilling on your leggings. They are a premium brand amongst our high-rise legging collection, with a waistband that hits around the belly button. The inseam for most of their leggings is around a 28"—that hits a bit around the ankle. 

MICHI Bras and Tops

MICHI makes sexy sports bras and sleek tanks to mix and match with their leggings. They are all naturally high-impact and extremely supportive. The bra tops come with removable pads that help shape and define. The Longline bra is one of their most popular sports bras; it incorporates mesh lines for a sleek, feminine look. 

MICHI Sizing 

All MICHI leggings and sports bras run true to size. XS = 0-2; S = 4-6; M = 6-8; L = 10-12; XL = 12-14. Their fabric is very high compression and will be a snug fit. If you don't like compression fit, then we suggest you choose a size up. The length of the leggings is all the same—around a 28” inseam for an average height of 5’ 6” that will hit right around the ankle area.
