Yoga Leggings

What to Look for in Yoga Leggings: Having the right yoga leggings can be as important as having the right mat for your practice. Yoga leggings are diverse as the different styles of yoga, and depending on the style of yoga you are into there is a legging for that! The main thing to think about is having a yoga legging that has the correct cut and fabric for your practice. Yogis who enjoy a slower more subtle practice will find soft luxurious fabrics like organic cotton and bamboo to be a perfect compliment for hanging out in pigeon pose for awhile. Hot yogis need a lot more moisture absorption from fabrics like recycled PET, Supplex, and Lycra. These fabrics dry quickly and create a second skin feel to your yoga leggings so they'll stay up and with you as you move through out your sun salutations.

Brands to Look Out For: Yoga leggings is kinda what we do here at Evolve. We love them and the number of brands and different types can seem overwhelming, so we're super happy to help you figure out what brand best matches your individual style. Brands like Synergy, Omgirl, LVR  Fashion are made from Organic materials and feature a large range of tie dye washes, solids, and patterns in every color from your basic black and white leggings to pineapple yellow. We love the LVR Organic Bamboo Stripe Legging for fun tie dye stripes and a variety of colors. For a great supplex legging we love brands like Beyond Yoga and KiraGrace which both feature solids and prints in super high quality fabrics that will stay with you as you move through practice. For hot yogis we love printed leggings from brands like Teeki, Anjali, and Yoga Democracy which are all made from Recycled PET a fabric made of recycled water bottles. Of course there are tons of of other brands killing it in the printed legging game like Onzie, Dona Jo, and Liquido Active which all are made for hot yoga, but can be worn to any yoga class.

Trending Now: Trends in yoga leggings have long shifted away from the day of your standard black yoga leggings that work to hide a woman's curves. We are embracing our awesome individual body types with leggings that fit our personalities and personal fashion sense. This last season we have seen some really cool takes on unique camoflauge, snake skin, and bright geometric patterns. Mesh leggings have also found a huge following allowing yogis to add a little bit of chic to their workout wardrobe brands like Onzie, Kira Grace, and Alo have this game on lock. Countouring body seams which look amazing and make your body look amazing is another huge trend, for this we love the Vimmia Reversible Speed Pant. Finally, the look of sleek glossy fabrics have been pouring in with yoga leggings like the DYI High Glossy Long Legging and the Jala Clothing Vegan Legging.

Onzie Long Legging: "One of my favourite yoga pants , they fit as described, fabric is light and comfortable(even my sensitive skin has no issues with it): will buy again , cause the designs are very happy and beautiful" (via Amazon.com)

LVR Crystal Washed Legings: "Cozy and unique. Warm lovely leggings, that are long enough to pull over your heels. The weight of the fabric is rather heavy but very snugly, which makes them the perfect cold day leggings. The knees stretch out a little after a few yoga session but not too bad. For reference, I am 5,7ft, ~129lb whit hips and butt, (I wear a solid size 6 in lululemon pants) and size S fits perfectly." - (via Evolvefitwear.com)
Anajali Ferocity Legging: "I've always been a "shorts" gal but once I put on a pair of Anjali Ferocity leggings, I am hooked. They are light as air, beautiful designs and feel great on - they are not "compression", which I hate and don't need or want. They are very moveable for barre, calisthenics, running, without sagging or slipping. They work in outdoor, cool workouts or any indoor workout." (via Amazon.com
